Amplicon

The piece of DNA resulting from replication of source DNA. This replication can either be artificial such as in PCR or natural as in gene duplication during mitosis.

(A semi-amplicon in MALBAC is an amplicon in which the common nucleotide sequence is only found at one of its terminals)
